Obituary of Harold W Nass

Harold W. Nass, 89, of Westfield, NY passed away on Saturday, January 23,2021 at his home with his family at his side.

He was the son of the late Harold and Nettie (Hurley) Nass.

Harold is survived by his wife Janet (Quackenbush) Nass; seven children, Natalie Margaret Nass and Colin Evan Nass of N.J., Winifred Lynn Montgomery of CA, Kenneth Robert Montgomery of Vermont, Mark Andrew Montgomery of Oregon, James Douglas Montgomery of New York City and Margaret Alison Montgomery of Sullivan County, NY; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, he and Janet owned and operated the Nass Daylilly Farm in Westfield from 1993 to 2019.  He worked for and retired from Union Carbide in Sterling Forest, NY as a Nuclear Chemist. He was a decoy and bird carver extraordinaire. Harold will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

As per Harold’s wishes services will be private.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St. Westfield, NY.
