A Westfield resident all his life, Jim was a 1966 Graduate of Westfield Academy, enlisted in the US Army and served his country in Vietnam from 1967-1970 as a Paratrooper with the 101st Airbourne and then served with 82nd Airbourne at Ft. Bragg, NC. He had been employed by the former Envirogas Corp. for many years and for the past 16 years had been employed by Welch Foods in Westfield. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and traveling. However, Jim greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and keeing his yard and garden.
