Obituary of Ruth S. Augur

A Westfield resident all her life, Ruth was a 1939 graduate of Westfield Academy. She had been employed as a cashier and clerk for the former WT Grant Co. in Westfeild during the 1940's. She then was employed by Westfield Academy and Central School as a hall monitor, then in the cafeteria and retired as head cashier of the cafeteria in 1982 after 28 years of service to the district. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Society of Westfield where she was very active in church activities that included; serving as an Elder, a member of the Deconess Board, as a Sunday School Teacher, and on the Prebyterian Womens group. She was also a member of the YWCA of Westfield and it's Seniors group. Ruth enjoyed playing cards, gardening and collecting old post cards of Westfield.
