Obituary of Carl Cash SR

WESTFIELD - Carl J. Cash, Sr., age 93, of Third St., Westfield and Fredonia Place, Fredonia, died Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at the Chautauqua County Home and Infirmary, in Dunkirk. Carl was born on August 30, 1918 in Wilson, NY, the son of the late Joseph and Angela (Yucalano) Cash. He served in the Army from 1941 to 1945 during World War II in the Asiatic and Pacific theaters attaining the rank of Sergeant. Mr. Cash was a member of St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church, the Fr. Daniel Early Council 3100 Knights of Columbus, and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge # 118 all of Westfield. After a long and successful career in the retail grocery business, he retired from Loblaws in Westfield as Assistant Manager. He is survived by his daughter: Angela L. Bentivegna of York, PA and his two sons: Carl (Suzi) J. Cash, Jr. of Lakewood, OH, and Ross (Lisa) F. Cash of Rochester, NY. He is further survived by his 10 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren as well as his sister, Grace Bader of Orlando, FL, and his brother, Anthony "Tony" Cash of Westfield, NY. He was preceded in death by his beloved Wife, Nina L. (Conti) Cash, his three brothers, Louis, Charles and Joseph Cash, and by his sister Josephine Malacane. Friends may call on Sunday, November 13, 2011 from 4-7 PM at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday morning at 11:00 AM at St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church, 15 Union Street, Westfield with Father Marius J. Walter officiating. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.
