Obituary of Donna L. Behm

RIPLEY - Donna L. (Gorton) Behm, age 70, of East Main Rd., Ripley, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Home. Donna was on born January 19, 1942 in Shamokin, PA the daughter of the late Arthur and Emily (Marcella Heck) Gorton. A Ripley resident most all her life, she was a 1960 graduate of Ripley Central School and moved to Westfield in 1972 where she lived until she moved back to Ripley in 2004. Donna had been employed as a Bindery Supervisor for Belknap Business Forms for many years. She was an accomplished Cross Stitcher and enjoyed gardening. Donna's grandchildren were the light of her life. She was a great cook who enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She had been active in Scouting when her children were younger. She is survived by her children: Barbara Vanaskie of Shamokin, PA, Terri Samonia of Niagara Falls, NY , Michael Schell of Harborcreek, PA, and Mark Schell of Randolph, NY. Donna was the proud Grandmother of: Christopher, Eric, Brian, Joshua, Emily, Mikaela and Jonathan. She is further survived by her sister: Nancy Robinson of Greensboro, NC and her brother: Kenneth Gorton of California. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Behm, and her brothers, Melvin and William Gorton Friends may call on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 12 noon until 1 PM at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St., Westfield, NY. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1 PM with Rev. Donald Schell officiating. Burial will be private.
