Obituary of Nancy A. Tresler

WESTFIELD - Nancy A. (Camp) Tresler, age 55, of Academy St., Westfield, formerly of Brocton died Monday, October 6, 2014 at Brooks Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family following a courageous battle with Cancer.
Nancy was born in Buffalo, NY on October 1, 1959 the daughter of the late Clarence and Merrie (Lincoln) Smith.
A resident of Brocton and Westfield most of her life, Nancy was a 1977 graduate of Westfield Academy and Central School. She was employed by the YWCA of Westfield for the past 11 years as a housekeeper. She had also been employed by Better Baked Foods and the former M. Wile Sewing factory. Nancy was always thinking of others and had volunteered with Toys for Tots in Fredonia. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds including crocheting, painting ceramics and porcelain dolls, needle point and stained glass. She also enjoyed reading, playing cards, and puzzles of all kinds. She was a great cook, fantastic baker and a wonderful mother. Her brave and positive attitude throughout her battle with cancer was an inspiration to everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her four daughters: Rebecca (Jon Eric) Schaade of Lancaster, OH, Christina (Todd) Marsh of Fredonia, NY, Jessica Tresler and Angela Tresler, both of Westfield. She was the proud grandmother of: John Schaade, Lauren, Carter and Colton Marsh, and Gage Tresler. Nancy is also survived by her two sisters, JoAnn Riscili of Brocton, NY and Karen Buchanan of Westfield and her one brother: Kenneth Smith also of Westfield, NY. She is further survived by her loving companion, Gary Gross. Several nieces and nephews, as well as her aunt and uncle, Lillian and Earl Saunders of Westfield, also survive.
Family and friends are invited to join with Nancy's family at the YWCA of Westfield, 58 So. Portage St. on Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 4-7 PM for a time of remembrance, reunion and refreshment. All other services and burial will be private.
