Obituary of Shirley A. Kraus

RIPLEY - Shirley A. (Laucher) Kraus, age 78, of Ripley, NY, died Sunday, November 9, 2014 at home following an extended illness. Shirley was born October 3, 1936 in Carmichaels, PA, the daughter of the late Otto E. and Ruth E. (Cole) Laucher. She married Edward J. Kraus on September 21, 1972 in Bridgeville, PA. A resident of Ripley since 1983 she moved here with her husband from Bridgeville, and had been employed as a Health Care Aide in Chautauqua County for several years. She enjoyed gardening, canning, taking care of her home and helping her husband on their grape farm. She is survived by her husband, Edward J. Kraus, her three daughters, Sherry Pronic and Linda DePersic both of Pittsburgh, PA, and Cindy Davis of Cannonsburg, PA, and by her brother, Edward Laucher of Ohio. Many Grandchildren and Several Great Grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her son, Jack Kraus and her daughter, Sherry Kraus. All services will be private at Shirley's request.
