Obituary of Mildred Evelyn Carutis

Millie was raied in Corry, PA, attended St. Edwards Parochial School and graduated from Corry Senior High School. She was poud of the fact that she was was a great softball player in her youth. A Westfield resident since 1980, she and her late husband Ed, moved here from Sherman where they owned and operated a Dairy Farm from 1957-1980. Upon thier retirement from farming, Millie and Ed owned and operated the former Mar-Mar Restaurant in Dewittville from 1980-1981. Then in 1981 they purchased the former Portage Inn in Westfield, which they owned and operated until 1994. In 1994 Millie and Ed once again entered the Restaurant business, this time in North East, PA when they purchased the Valley Lunch, which they operated for a brief time. Millie was an outstanding cook and enjoyed people and making sure everyone had a fantastic meal.
