Obituary of Elberta J. Odell

WESTFIELD - Elberta J. (Davis) Odell, age 96, of Westfield, formerly of Fredonia, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Absolut Care of Westfield. Elberta was born on August 4, 1919 in Fredonia, NY, a daughter of the late Arthur and Veronica (Lasecki) Davis. She married Warren P. Odell on April 18, 1942 in Hattiesburg, MS. Mr. Odell preceded her in death on February 20, 1996. Elberta was a lifelong Chautauqua county resident. She is survived by two her sons; Paul (Janet) Odell of Westfield and Harold (Karen) Odell of Batavia, NY. Also surviving are her daughters; Mary (late Raymond) Carlson of Mayville, June (Harley) Fink of Dunkirk and Alice Alexander of Westfield, as well as by her daughter in law Linda (late Elmer) Odell of Sandusky, OH. 14 grand children and 18 great grand children also survive. In addition to her parents and her husband, Elberta was preceded in death by her brother Arthur S. Davis. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 11 AM at St. Mary of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, 22 East Chautauqua St., Mayville, NY with Fr. Todd Remick officiating. Private burial will be in Webster Street Cemetery.
