Dear Calarco Family -
My father served with with Vincent in the 550th. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I remember when my Dad passed away in 1993, Vincent and Charlotte made the trip from Westfield to Corfu to pay their respects. My Dad had many wonderful memories of the Army reunions at Calarco's Restaurant. Now Vincent and his comrade Ferdinand Konfederath can share their war stories once again! Peace, love and hugs to you all! Sincerely, Sandy Konfederath

My family and I were lucky enough to meet Vinnie on Easter Sunday. We attended mass at the VA and visited with him--he told us several stories about his time in the service--we were only there a few minutes but could tell what an extraordinary man he was. So very sorry for your loss.

Vinnie was a roommate of my dad's at the VA. What an up beat man with a great smile! God certainly blessed him with a full life, family and to be a blessing to others. May your family carry on his legacy. Going to miss him at Tuesday bingo!

Charlotte, Gini, Steve and family,
I will miss my cousin Vinnie. Him and Dad were great friends and we were just talking about him a few days ago. Dad told me about his trips over to Gowanda with Vinnie to see friends and people that Vinnie worked with and Dad got to see friends of his too. I will miss his stories and jokes, his random taste testing in the kitchen, and just watching him light up a room when he walked in. Vinnie made such an impact on this community and everyone he met. Everyone was family. That love will live with me forever and with Dad. I hope you find peace and more love with his passing. Vinnie will be missed by many and they will always have the fond memories of him.
Love,
John, Kim, & Penny Evans

You Uncle Vinnie have carved your name on our hearts. A legacy is etched into the minds of all you have crossed paths with; and the stories they share about you will live forever. The true definition of pride, hard work, and unconditional love. A family man through and through, and possibly the greatest story teller of all time.
To Aunt Charlotte, Ginni, Steve and all the family, may God bless and comfort you. My prayers are always with you. I love you all. Uncle Vinnie was an amazing man, I loved him so much and he will always have a special place in my heart. <3

The loss of my Uncle Vinnie is heartbreaking. He was my Godfather and spoiled me with attention and love. He did so many wonderful things for me and my brothers which will remain forever in my heart. Growing up in a family business wasn't always easy as we had to share our family with the world, there were many times I was jealous of the attention my uncles and parents gave others but to watch them give of themselves and have so many people love them has been wonderful. I am grateful for the love he and Aunt Charlotte gave me. I was the flower girl in their wedding and even though it was their day they showered me with attention. Aunt Charlotte and the kids are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.,
love, Jennifer

Vincent was a true authentic sports person in the area. When called for a foul during my H.S. basketball years he made sure why the call was made. A unforgettable person.

I don't know where to start. I came to Westfield in 1983, Vinny came to welcome us, out of nowhere, I had never met him nor did I know anyone that knew him at that time. He made a point to welcome me and my family and told me if I needed anything to call him. How often does that ever happen? He was a great Veteran, served his country in many tough battles in some really tough times. He ran a great business, whenever we'd go in there he always made a point to come to our table and great us. He was a great family man. There are many good things to say about Vinny, I want to thank him for him being so kind, I know many people but I can't think of one that was more welcoming and kind. Since I've moved away I think of him often and very sad for his families and the Villages lost. Vinny, I will miss you, thanks for making your mark on me and so many others. Loved ya man!
