Gayle,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I have very fond memories as a "kid" growing up in the Larson neighborhood. These include playing basketball in the Larson driveway under makeshift lighting at night and in the winter time with holes cut out in the finger tips of our gloves. I remember our late night escapades in the summer while sleeping out on their rooftop porch his dad built as part of their garage. "Running around" with Steve, Dave, Ralph, Jo, Mike, Rick & Rob. I often think of Steve and his brother Ralph, Steve with a basketball and Ralph with a football. God bless! Kevin

i had the good fortune to work with Steve for over 40 years.he was the only guy that cared that he did his best at whatever his job was that day. always looking to help anyone that needed a hand.we used to laugh that i played against him in high school football.he was the quarterback for Westfield and i played for Brocton and was never able to get to him.when grape season came every year Steve always set the seasonal fill plan for the company.while it was not funny as to what happened but i was with Steve when he slipped and fell in a railroad car that had about 2 foot of concentrate in it.what was funny when he got out.he ended up wearing a pair of my coveralls they were 3xl.i enjoyed his company and considered him a good friend.i will miss him. To Gayle Larson,
So sorry to hear about Steve's passing. I have many many memories with Steve...all good ones, some only I will ever know about. He was perhaps the greatest athlete to have ever attended WACS. I am honored to have known him. He was my friend.

I wish to offer my sympathy to the family and particularly to Gayle who was one of my classmates in high school. While I have not have contact with him since my high school days, being a sports fan, I remember Steve as an excellent athelete especially as a quarterback in football and an all league basketball player. Who can ever forget the time he led Westfield to a semi final win over undefeated Silver Creek in the basketball sectionals? His competitiveness and work ethic was outstanding.
While I have lost touch since those years gone by, I am sure he lived his life with the same energy that he lived in high school. To his family and to Gayle, I pray that the Lord will comfort you during these difficult days.

To Steve's entire wonderful family, I am so very sorry to hear of your loss of a great husband, father and grandfather. I initially knew Steve through is brother, Ralph, then through my sister. He was a quiet but very nice man with a good soul. May God keep you in his loving/healing arms during your time of loss.
