Dear Delores and Frankie,
I am so sorry to hear about your dad’s passing. I only read about it today (Jan. 30, 2018) while looking on the Internet for family members. I beg your pardon for not having known sooner.
Uncle Frank was a known WWII hero, but I only came to know that in later life. He called me when my dad passed and expressed his condolences. He also shared with me some of his medical problems at the time.
As I’ve mentioned before, I will never, ever forget the welcome my father and I received from Uncle Dom and Aunt Nancy every time we came down to your house for those magnificent gatherings and beautifully prepared meals. I mention Aunt Nancy in my prayers every night and I will certainly mention Uncle Dom. I could say so much more.
Thanks again for everything, Uncle Dom!

Dom was like an Uncle to me and I will miss him very much. He was the definition of class and character, and one who always had a kind word, or terrific story to share with anyone he met. My heart felt condolences go out to the Rossotto family.

Mr. Rossotto was a childhood friend and army buddy of Sam Crea. He made many gestures to keep in touch with our father who has been sickly for a few years. My mother and father enjoyed the vegetables he would bring when he visited. Recently, Mr. Rossotto attended a book signing in Westfield of Sam's son to offer his support. Dad was happy to see the veteran write up of Mr. Rossotto when it appeared in the Dunkirk newspaper. We thank him for his warmth and kindness. Our sympathies to the entire Rossotto family.
Sincerely and in friendship,
Sam Crea (and children: Frank, Michael, Sandra, Kathy, Thomas and Dianne)

To Frank And Dolores, We are deeply saddened by Dom's passing. He has been such a great friend, and I never missed an opportunity to stop in for a visit when I was in town. All the great times, cooking in the kitchen with your mom, or just having a beer in the yard. The 90th birthday party was such fun.. . I will miss him the rest of my days.. prayers going out to all of you.

I saw your dad last summer and he was as handsome and charming as ever! So many fond memories of those "card" games our fathers hosted! And the parties! Westfield has lost a great pillar of the community.
Our thoughts and prayers with you from all the Palermo family.

Dolores, Frank and families: I can't express in words what your father meant to me and our family. Your father was a voice of reason to my father and a sounding board for me after I moved to Florida to deal with Nick. We traded pickled eggplant for hot peppers and he liked the liver and onions when I visited. He always had a hug and smile for me. He was a proud Veteran and a true American. He provided and cared for his family and was proud of all your accomplishments. He leaves a big hole to fill in Westfield in many ways. I'm sure there is a hell of a card game going on right now and turtle soup cooking when the old "gang" welcomed him. You are in my thoughts and prayers, God Bless.
