I was so saddened to learn of Sally's passing. Sally was a special person that will be greatly missed by her many painting "partners." We took classes together through grants at the Patterson Library; we volunteered to assist artist, Katherine Galbraith with her Plein Air event; and we also took outdoor classes from Tom Annear in Fredonia.
It is a wonderful gift when you meet people that share a very humanistic view of life. Sally found beauty in her family, in nature, in a purpose for the greater good. I was so very fortunate to know her and to call her my friend.
I send my deepest sympathy to her family:
daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren and of course her sisters (we painted with you behind Johnson Winery a few summers ago).
I miss her so!
With love and air hugs,
Patti Clark (my husband Charlie also sends his sympathy - he knew Sally too)

My condolences to the Field family: When one losses a loved one we ask "Will they live again?", Job asked the same question please read Job 14:14-15. It assures us that God is eager to resurrect your loved one who is now sleeping in the grave. 1 Corinthians 15:26 shows that death is an enemy . May this be of comfort to you now and in the future.

Even though I hadn"t seen Sally since a short while before she entered the Peace
Corp, I have thought of her often and wondered how she was. We went to JCC together and often went out together..Through dating, marriages, and kids we kept in touch. I had hoped we could reconnect after she returned to the area bur it wasn't meant to be. I am so sorry for your loss and I shall miss her always.

My thoughts and prayers are w/you @ this difficult time. Sally hired me @ Greenhurst for my 1st nursing job out of school,my 1st DON.I remember her and Pat being so nice and patient w/me,as I had not a clue fresh out of JCC.And I was somewhat envious of the work she did and the world she saw and helped. My thoughts are with Sally and her family. It is so sad to hear this news. She had such a fulfilling life and I was so lucky to have had a small part of her life. She left her consideration and thoughtfulness on people all over the world.
Sally and I were J2s, meaning we served together in the second class of Peace Corps in Jordan, 1998-2000. We were so privileged to have experienced this adventure, and especially together since Sally's apartment was so convenient to stay in over weekends and she always served good food.
Masalama Sally. You will be missed by oh-so-many..

Nothing in this world we live in can prepare us to lose someone we love to death. I am sending my condolences to both family and friends due to the death of Sally Field. There is, however, hope for our dear loved ones in the Bible at John 5:28-29 and Rev. 21:4. For more upbuilding information for families, individuals and children go to jw.org and download the publication "When Someone You Love Dies". It is a wonderful publication for people of all religious backgrounds. It's been a great help to me when I have lost loved ones in death. I know, only too well, just how stressful and emotional a time like this can be so know that my thoughts and prayers are definitely with you.

Rick and I are so sorry for your loss. I am glad I had a chance to know Sally Field. She once read my tea leaves and said some kind things about me. I said goodbye to her when she left Pawleys Island. I had no idea I would not see her again. I will miss her.

I didn't know Sally well, but can't help but remember a fellow member of the twins group in the Class of '65 at Jamestown High School. I especially admire reading about her dedication to service in crisis areas of the world.

I have known Sally since I was a smart mouthed 18 year old. She was the DON at Greenhurst nursing home, and I was a new nurses aide. She may not have known this but she was a huge impact in my life. She was the one reason I went to nursing school. She not only was my boss, but also a very good friend through out the years. We lost touch in the late 90's when she was doing great things, and I raising a family. We reconnected last year, and I was so happy to be back in her life. I will be thinking of Sally's family, Christy and Amy I am so sorry. RIP my dear friend until we meet again
