My condolences to the family of Harry Ward. Our county has lost a good man. I was involved in the effort to get the Sea Lion returned to Chautauqua County from Buffalo some years back, and came to know Harry at that time. I am very appreciative of the efforts he made to help make that happen. I have my doubts that it would have ever happened had he not gotten involved. He was a person who knew how to negotiate and find a way to solve difficult problems. I am glad to have met him, and wish all the best for his friends and family.

Even though I met Uncle Harry late in my life, he treated me like I’ve always been part of the family. His children are such good people and I attribute it to Uncle Harry and Aunt Betty’s outstanding parenting. The love his children have for him is humbling. To my cousins and Aunt: may you be comforted by the outpouring of love surrounding you. Uncle Harry may be gone from our sight, but he will never be gone from our hearts

Dear Betty and family,
I was privileged to know Harry through his daughter Julie. I spent many hours in their home doing painting. He always made me feel welcomed and proud of the work I did for them. Always a good story about his past.
He was a kind and multitalented man.
My thoughts are with you at this time.
Sincerely Barbara D3tPY

Dear Betty and Family,
We are so sorry to hear of the death of Harry. Our hearts hurt for you all as you go through this time of grief. On of my greatest pleasures of my ministry was to share the Word and have Harry in the congregation. He sitting there faithfully with Betty pretending to be a sleep but if I said something just not right or he did not agree with he would say something to me before he walked out the door. I have comfort in knowing that Harry is with the Lord as on one of my hospital visits to see him in Erie. I distinctly recall him being very nervous/worried about the heart distress he was having and a fear of death. This was one of the few times he sat with me and shared is worry and concern and I was able to share God's truth with him and I was able to share the Gospel of Jesus with him and him sharing a prayer of salvation with me.
Please may you all have comfort in knowing the truth of the Apostle Paul absent from the body is present with the Lord. This is the truth for Harry he is before the throne of God worshiping Him with his musical abilities for all eternity.
Again our hearts and empathy are with you as you go through this lose, but if Harry had the opportunity to come back to you from heaven I assure you he would say no, for I am in glory before the Almighty and I will not come back to you but I shall wait here on this side of the river for you, you come to US.
Blessings to you dear Betty, and all the family
With our love and prayers,
Pastor Lyle and Faye

It was a pleasure to get to know Harry, even though they were brief visits in the summer up to Lake Chautauqua. You will be missed, Harry, but we know you are dancing on streets of gold and celebrating with the angels! Love to the Ward family.
