Dear Nath,
I am very sorry to hear about Dick. I always liked him a lot. Just have been thinking back over the long years to the merry go round and foot x ray in the shoe store, our trip to Canada on the Susanna and his cigars.
My son Jeff is working on the Nichols genealogy and we were talking about you, Dick and Aunt Lottie just tonight.
Again, my sincerest condolences and I hope you will e-mail me soon

Dear Nat:
I want to tell you that Dick was a major influence on my life. I truly believe that my mother’s love and care for me and Dick’s mentoring are what really sustained me and made me who I am. Dick was a father figure and a substitute for a brother that I never had. He was a man of great integrity, loved life and just taught me to enjoy what I could. I am so grateful for his presence in my life and I want you to know that I will always pray for him and you. May God give you the strength to persevere in faith and family as well as Dan and Susan. It is a true gift.
Sincerely,
Jim Toohey

Nathalie and family, I am so sorry to hear about Dick's passing. Rob and I loved to come home Ox Roast Weekend and see him playing with the Deutchmeisters. He was such a warm, gentle soul. Pretty sure he was greeted by Rob and the Holbrook gang. I have such wonderful memories of spending time with you all. My heart and prayers are with you. Rest in peace, Dick. I will miss you.

Dear Natalie and family,
I was so sorry to read Richard’s death. Pictures of a birthday party in your backyard on 25th Street and at the house on Glenwood Park Avenue bring back good memories. Going to Juvenile Bootery was a part of growing up and then many years later Dick fitted my daughter with her first shoes. Even though all of these events were years ago, the memories of Dick and family will live forever with me.

To the Family of Dick Falcone:
When I read about Dick's passing I remembered a story my parents told me about Dick.
It was 1940 or 1941 in Westfield and Dick lived next to my parents Eugene and Marjorie Jacox. They lived at 25 Kent Street. I was a toddler at the time and Dick was in his late teens.
Apparently Dick, and perhaps his group, liked to practice their music in the evenings which entertained my parents. They enjoyed the music and loved Dick, but Mom said that at the time she thought if she heard "Jersey Bounce" one more time, she'd scream.
Later, my parents became re-acquainted with Dick in Erie when he had the Juvenile Bootery on W. 26th Street and Dad managed the A&P store at 26th and Brown Avenue, where I met Dick.
Since so many years have gone by, I was quite interested to read about Dick's wonderful and successful long life.
My sincerest sympathy to all upon his passing.

So Sorry to hear about the passing of Dick .
I lost the two most influential men in my live this year - My father Bill Hogenmiller and Dick Falcone.
Dick was a family friend and a mentor to all of my sister's and my brother .
I enjoyed many years working part time at the shoe store and bought my shoes and boots from him until I moved away.
He was always glad to see you and always had a smile on his face .
What a great guy he was and I am honored to have known him and worked for him.
He will be greatly missed.
