Carole: It has been a long time, but I am a friend from your days at Allegheny Portage and the National Park Service.I just heard today about Paul and cannot begin to express how so very sorry I am for your loss. Paul was a tremendous person who touched many lives around him - including mine. He gave me my first NPS job and because of his encouragement back then, I am still with the NPS.I know that Paul will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathy to you, Carol and your family. Paul was the kindest and most gentle man. He was always such an interesting and intelligent person. I so enjoyed talking with him. Many of our students too had the greatest respect for him, loved him as their sub and were saddened at the news of his passing.
