Obituary of Eileen C. Buss
WESTFIELD - Eileen C. (Bowser) Buss, age 82, of Grove St., Westfield, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019, at UPMC-Hamot Medical Center of Erie, PA, following a brief illness.
Eileen was born on October 29, 1936, in Kittanning, PA, the daughter of the late James D. and Rebecca (Toy) Bowser.
Eileen had been a dedicated home maker and a devoted wife, nurturing mother and loving grandmother. She attended the First Baptist Church of Westfield and had been active in many church activities that include being a Deaconess, participating in the MOPS and AWANA programs as well as the Cradle Ministry and the Pioneer Girls. Eileen loved her women's Bible Study and was a prayer warrior for her family and friends. She had a glorious voice and had been a member of the Church's choir. She was an avid reader and was a fan of the NY Yankees baseball team. She and Mort had wintered in Lugoff, SC for many years, before returning to Westfield to be closer to family. Above all else, she cherished her family and her Lord.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Morton K. Buss, Sr., whom she married on March 24, 1956 and her 3 sons, Morton (Becky) Buss, Jr. of Harborcreek, PA, Timothy (Kimberly) Buss of Westfield, and Lance (Kimberly) Buss of Newark, OH. 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren also survive. Eileen is further survived by her 2 brothers, Donald Bowser of Beaver Falls, PA, and W. Daniel Bowser of Westfield, NY as well as her sister, Jolene Migota also of Beaver Falls, PA.
In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Etta King and her 2 brothers, Wayne and James Bowser.
Friends may call from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Westfield, 19 Union Street in Westfield, where the Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Matthew Wolfe officiating. Private burial will be in Sherman Cemetery.
