Obituary of Patricia A. Puls

WESTFIELD - Patricia A. (Tefft) Puls, age 77, of Hawley St., Westfield, formerly of Ripley, NY, passed away Friday, February 28, 2020, at home following an extended illness.

   Patricia was born on November 14, 1942, in Westfield, NY, the daughter of the late Arthur G. and Joyce P. (Pierson) Tefft, Jr.
   A 1960 graduate of Ripley Central School, Patricia had been employed in the Insurance business with local Westfield Agencies for many years prior to becoming a dedicated home maker. She was an accomplished Quilter, avid bird watcher and loyal NY Yankees fan.  She enjoyed landscaping and gardening, attending Custom Van shows and following the band, Colt Station.  However, her main love was her family. She never missed her grandchildren's games, competitions and scholastic performances. She was their best fan, always there to cheer them on! As her family grew, her great grandchildren became “the apple of her eye”.  Patricia enjoyed traveling and greatly cherished the many family trips to Disney.  

   Survivors include her high school sweetheart and husband of 59 years, Dennis R. Puls, whom she married on September 16, 1960, and their daughter, Cheryl (Norman) Leamer of Westfield NY. Patricia was the proud grandmother of Angie (Andrew) Thompson and Scott (Amber) Leamer all of Westfield, as well as great grandmother of, Taylor, Nicholas and Kendall Thompson and Brynn Leamer.  She is further survived by her 2 brothers, Ronald Tefft of Kill Devil Hills NC, and Thomas Tefft of North East PA.   In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Behm.
   Friends may call at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St., Westfield, NY, on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. All other Services will be private.  Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
