Dear Debbie,Diane and family,
We were sad to hear of Louise passing. After we moved from Westfield she was one of the must see people for my mother to see during her many visits back 'home '
Your Mom was always a fond memory for me as well as I remember she always smiled and laughed, was creative and generous. It was comforting being around her as a young kid.
The last time I saw her was at my parents 50 th Wedding Anniversary when we had a party at the B&B in Westfield down by the lighthouse.I have a photo of her giving my mother a big bear hug of longtime friendship.
May all your memories sustain you as you find peace with her passing.
Sincerely,
Sandy ( Bohn ) Kurtz

To Debbie and Diane and all of your families.....SO MANY memories! From staying in your campers overnight, while your home was finished being built, to her caring for us at your home on Christmas Eve while my parents were in Buffalo for the funeral of my mom's father, to her cooking classes, to her working at the Kopper Korner, in Chautauqua, to her wonderful, beautiful, talented decoupage things she created! To Crossroads where she sold her "Beanie Baby Poles! The days when we were young and she and Nancy Webster and my mom would eat lunch outside, or go to each other's homes for tea/coffee. To her taking us swimming in the Chautauqua Gorge, to bringing me lots of Debbie's wool clothes your dad had shrunk in the dryer! LOL Then, seeing her at school in the Library, or at the YWCA, or she, Nancy and my mom going to some "Weight Loss" place in Dunkirk where they paid to lean on machines that just "jiggled their fat around." I recall having a sleepover with Debbie in your Chautauqua apartment when she and Diane came back from seeing the Alfred Hitchcock movie, "The Birds," and you both talking about how scary it was. She used to do a lot of knitting in her younger years, also. She put me in charge of "Dickins" your cat when you all went to Florida, telling me about how much food and how much PET Milk to give her daily. The last time I saw and talked to her was at the Ox Roast in 2018. We had fun remembering some of the above. I am so sad to know she is gone and I will not see her on my next visit to Westfield or The Ox Roast. She was one of those people that after making her, God simply broke the mold as there will never be another Louise! Please know you will be in my prayers and I am so sorry that I am unable to be there to pay my condolences and sympathies in person, as you were when I lost my mom. I am with you in spirit, though! HUGS to both of you!!!

I've always thought of Louise as one of the truly finest people I have ever known at WACS. Honestly, one of the classiest; and I do not mean that in a "showy" sort of way, but rather, the exact opposite - unassumingly.
Louise gave 110% daily. Whatever asked of her, she gave all of that and more. She was that rare individual who was equally adept as a leader and a follower, and in either capacity she was positive and supportive, and her sense of humor was terrific. ( I just LOVED her laugh.) Granted, my memory isn't what I'd like it to be, but I cannot remember anyone ever saying a bad word about her. Ever!
At life's end, we can only judge the value of a person by asking, "Did she/he leave this world a better place than when she/he first came to earth?" Well, Louise most certainly did. And while, like everyone else, I extend my sympathy to those family and friends closest to her for their loss, I just have to say how lucky all of you were to have had her in the first place. Each of you, and she, were blessed. May your memories help fill the void she has left, and give you strength.
Sincerely,
Steve Seymour
